Executing From Boot ROM

If the drive is still responding to commands, you can enter boot mode by running the following:
DriveCom.exe /drive=E /action=SetBootMode
where E
is the drive letter. The LED will turn on and stay on, indicating you are in boot mode.
If the drive is no longer responding to commands, or you do not want to allow the firmware to execute, you must short the data pins connected to the NAND controller when supplying power to the drive.

Hold a knife or other thin metal tool over the 2 or 3 pins in the above picture, then plug in or otherwise supply power to the drive. After one second, remove the knife or metal tool from the pins. The LED will turn on and stay on, indicating you are in boot mode.
