Milestone 1 Feedback Meeting (16.04.2024)

Overall

• Good news: !! There is not a major problem in our milestone !!
• Our group has generally done well, so it ended shortly

Some little issues and their solutions about our milestone

• Search under the "System" part is a bit problematic, it should better be under the "User" part

• "User shall be able to semantically search" is more appropriate

• Things independent from the user: System (so most things are indeed user requirements)

• Follow exists but "unfollow" does not, bookmark exists but "unbookmark" does not (little details, most people missed them)

• Things like username should be unique, we probably missed that part

• (our milestone is generally correct, so he is mentioning about little details rather than major ones)

• It should be complete and close to subjectiveness (yoruma kapalı)

• Forgot to do Git research, it should be done as well (some other groups missed that as well)

"Web Mockup" part (will be revised)

• He said that we have no web mockup (That part will be revised and our points will be updated accordingly, currently no problem I guess)
• It is kinda missing that we have no web scenarios, all scenarios were done for the mobile (this might be revised as well, I do not remember)

Some tips

• Know what's going around in other subgroups inside your grouop, but you do not need to get your hands dirty with everything (that's what he said, if false it will be told to us)
• React Native is prohibited in Cmpe451 :'(
• No fancy design is expected, but that's not a problem for us, that does not mean that these ones will get higher points

An important part missing: Usage of issues

• Issues are not being used effectively, and the structure is not good enough
• Issue commments are not being used effectively, no discussions are going around our issues
• Issues are not a "reference point", !Use them! (it is not a basic to-do list, but rather a discission point)

Important Points

• The "tidiness" and "up-to-dateness" of Wiki is being checked and graded accordingly
• !! WE ARE ALWAYS RESPONSIBLE FROM EVERYTHING UNDER OUR REPOSITORY !!
• WE SHOULD ALWAYS FIX OUR PREVIOUS MISTAKES, WE ARE ALWAYS RESPONSIBLE FROM THEM (but with lower coefficients each time)

To-fix list

• Search under the "System" part will be carried under the "User" part
• "Unfollow, unbookmark" parts will be added (and their similars if required)
• "Username should be unique" and if there are any other missing uniquenesses, they will be fixed as well
• Git research
• Improve the effectiveness and usage of issues
