The Church of the Helix Fossil
The Church of the Helix Fossil is a religious following by TPP fans, based on the (supposed) guiding light of the immortal object that miraculously turned their chaos into victory.
When the players managed to navigate Red through the cave at Mount Moon, the players had to choose between picking up the Helix Fossil or the Dome Fossil. Fatefully, they chose the Helix Fossil. Few thought much about the choice. At least at the time.
Later on, while stumbling through the menus, the players kept selecting the Helix Fossil by accident during battles, as if they were consulting it. When players went on an accidental spree of item tossing, the Helix Fossil was found to be an immortal object, unable to be tossed when other all the other ephemeral objects left the plane of existence.
And soon, when chaos actually turned the tables for victory, players started to praise the Helix Fossil for heeding their prayers. Other key items joined the player's veneration, (such as the S.S. Ticket), but the Helix Fossil became their true leader, and carried the players through three difficult gym leaders.
This is how the Helix Fossil has heeded our prayers. And thus players shall sung the praises of the Helix Fossil forevermore.
For there to be light, there must also be darkness. If the Helix Fossil is our lord and savior, the Dome Fossil is the Devil incarnate. The Dome Fossil beckons Red's pokemon with false hopes, and uses them to thwart the mission of the Helix.
