Hello all,

Welcome to the Introduction to Machine Learning in Python short training course.

The course will be held at Slatyer Seminar Room at RN Robertson Building on:

  • 2-4pm, Wed, 24 July 2024
  • 2-4pm, Wed, 31 July 2024
  • 2-4pm, Wed, 7 August 2024
  • 2-4pm, Wed, 14 August 2024
  • 2-4pm, Wed, 21 August 2024

I will also send a calendar invite soon, you can reserve the time slots in your calendar.

For setting up your device to be ready for this course, you will need several software installed.

  • Python 3, you can download it from the official website. https://www.python.org/downloads/
  • Anaconda Navigator, download it from the official website. https://www.anaconda.com/download
  • Python Packages, we will install it together in the class.
    • NumPy
    • Pandas
    • Matplotlib
    • Scikit-learn
    • tableone
  • If you have experience with Python before, feel free to use any other IDEs, I will use Jupyter Notebook in the class.

All classes will be recorded and uploaded to OneDrive afterwards.
