Reporting Security Vulnerabilities

At NETCHAT Server, we are committed to ensuring the security of our project. We appreciate any and all efforts to responsibly disclose potential security vulnerabilities.

To report a security vulnerability, please create a new issue in our GitHub repository's Issue Tracker. When creating the issue, please ensure that it's marked as "Security Vulnerability" or "Confidential" to ensure it's handled appropriately.

Please provide the following details in your issue:

  • A brief description of the vulnerability.
  • Steps to reproduce the vulnerability.
  • Any proof-of-concept or exploit code (if applicable).

Please refrain from publicly disclosing the vulnerability until we have had a chance to address it.

Security Updates

We are committed to promptly addressing any reported security vulnerabilities. We will provide updates and patches as soon as they are available.

Supported Versions

Only the latest version of NETCHAT Server is actively maintained and receives security updates. It is highly recommended that users keep their installations up to date with the latest release.

Responsible Disclosure

We encourage responsible disclosure of security vulnerabilities. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it to us privately, allowing us to address it before disclosing it publicly.

Contact

For any further questions or concerns regarding security, please create a new issue in our GitHub repository's Issue Tracker.

Acknowledgments

We would like to thank the individuals and organizations who have responsibly disclosed security vulnerabilities to us in the past, helping us to improve the security of NETCHAT Server.
