• This project is an Airline reservation system. Airline reservation systems allow an airline to sell their goods (seats). It contains information on schedules and fares and contains a database of reservations and of tickets issued.

Motivation

• This project aims to make it easier for travellers to reserve an airline ticket and view all flights schedule in addition to changing their reseved flight or seat by only few simple steps.

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Installing

run the commands bellow in a new terminal to install the required packages

npm install

npm install express

npm install mongoose

Running

A step by step series of examples that tell you have to get a development enviroment running

Navigate to the backend directory

cd backend

Then run:

node app.js

Open a new terminal and navigate to the frontend directory

cd frontend

Then run:

npm start

Within few seconds the project should be running

1. Administrator Functionalities :

• Create Flight.

  • Functionality : create a new flight
  • Route : /createFlight
  • Request type : POST

  • Functionality : update (edit) any selected flight and its details including flight number, departure and arrival times, number of available Economy seats, number of Business Class seats, dates and airports.
