Chimera is a 2.5D game engine developed for learning purposes, but with the intent of becoming a usable piece of software where people can create games with, feat which has been achieved. The engine supports:
- 2.5D batch rendering for sprites
- 2D physics and collision detection
- Parenting
- Scene management
- Custom Lua scripting API through which users can program the logic
- Exporting feature to play the game outside the editor
The Engine is currently in its early Alpha stage and is able to produce simple 2.5D games for Windows. Please take a look at the Wiki for information regarding its usage.
