Rui obtained his Ph.D. degree at Utah Water Research Laboratory, Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Utah State University, worked with Dr. Alfonso Torres-Rua. Rui's Ph.D. dissertation relates to California vineyard water status and stress estimation using high-resolution UAV information and eddy-covariance flux tower data.
