{{< callout info >}}
OUDS Web is based on [Bootstrap]({{< param bootstrap >}}), which has [its own logo and brand usage guidelines]({{< param bootstrap >}}/docs/{{< param docs_version >}}/about/brand/).
{{</ callout >}}

Have a need for OUDS Web's brand resources? Great! We have only a few guidelines we follow, and in turn ask you to follow as well. These guidelines were published by Orange SA on the [Orange Design System website]({{< param ods.web >}}).

### Responsive SVG

OUDS Web uses —and recommends to use— **a single SVG file for both logos**, since it's lightweight and easily made responsive. Here is the unminified SVG content:

## Orange Business Services logo

Orange Business Services has its own logo that contains the Orange logo and the "Business Services" text. This set is a logo by itself, must be considered as a single SVG file and must not be built manually by assembling an image and some texts.

## OUDS Web history

OUDS Web is an Orange-branded version of Bootstrap framework.

In addition to the Orange brand recommendations compliance, **OUDS Web aims at bringing accessibility improvements** as well as some Orange-specific components and user interactions while complying with the framework standards. The components and samples included in OUDS Web are regularly enhanced with real-life projects feedbacks and components.

Using a common core leverages **a unique brand experience** for our customers in all their interactions.

OUDS Web can be used for all **responsive web projects** for Orange group —&nbsp;but other developers may also take advantage of the proposed accessibility improvements and additional components.

### Custom components

OUDS Web ships with custom accessible components to suit specific needs:

- [Back to top]({{< docsref "/components/back-to-top" >}})
- [Footer]({{< docsref "/components/footer" >}})
- [Local navigation]({{< docsref "/components/local-navigation" >}})
- [Orange navbar]({{< docsref "/components/orange-navbar" >}})
- [Quantity selector]({{< docsref "/forms/quantity-selector" >}})
- [Star rating]({{< docsref "/forms/checks-radios#star-rating" >}})
- [Stepped process]({{< docsref "/components/stepped-process" >}})
- [Sticker]({{< docsref "/components/sticker" >}})
- [Tags]({{< docsref "/components/tags" >}})
- [Title bars]({{< docsref "/components/title-bars" >}})

## Bootstrap Team

Bootstrap is maintained by a [small team of developers](https://github.com/orgs/twbs/people) on GitHub. They're actively looking to grow this team and would love to hear from you if you're excited about CSS at scale, writing and maintaining vanilla JavaScript plugins, and improving build tooling processes for frontend code.

## Bootstrap History

Originally created by a designer and a developer at Twitter, Bootstrap has become one of the most popular front-end frameworks and open source projects in the world.

Bootstrap was created at Twitter in mid-2010 by [@mdo](https://twitter.com/mdo) and [@fat](https://twitter.com/fat). Prior to being an open-sourced framework, Bootstrap was known as _Twitter Blueprint_. A few months into development, Twitter held its [first Hack Week](https://blog.twitter.com/engineering/en_us/a/2010/hack-week) and the project exploded as developers of all skill levels jumped in without any external guidance. It served as the style guide for internal tools development at the company for over a year before its public release, and continues to do so today.

Originally [released](https://blog.twitter.com/developer/en_us/a/2011/bootstrap-twitter) on <time datetime="2011-08-19 11:25">Friday, August 19, 2011</time>, they've since had over [twenty releases](https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap/releases), including two major rewrites with v2 and v3. With Bootstrap 2, they added responsive functionality to the entire framework as an optional stylesheet. Building on that with Bootstrap 3, they rewrote the library once more to make it responsive by default with a mobile first approach.

With Bootstrap 4, they once again rewrote the project to account for two key architectural changes: a migration to Sass and the move to CSS's flexbox. Their intention is to help in a small way to move the web development community forward by pushing for newer CSS properties, fewer dependencies, and new technologies across more modern browsers.

Their latest release, Bootstrap 5, focuses on improving v4's codebase with as few major breaking changes as possible. They improved existing features and components, removed support for older browsers, dropped jQuery for regular JavaScript, and embraced more future-friendly technologies like CSS custom properties as part of their tooling.

## Get involved in Bootstrap

Get involved with Bootstrap development by [opening an issue](https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap/issues/new/choose) or submitting a pull request. Read their [contributing guidelines](https://github.com/twbs/bootstrap/blob/v{{< param current_version >}}/.github/CONTRIBUTING.md) for information on how they develop.
