Updated sections of the wiki for the benefit of new users.

  1. getting-started/general.md
    A) Change description: I included the following improvements in this section:
Included a link to the Download, Install and Run section. Justification: This section discusses what the user machine specs should be, then jumps straight to after-build discussion. Including information about the download, Install and Run sequence fills this gap.
    B) Appended “just start OpenSpace with the scene and wait” with “several minutes.”
Justification: Provides a better indicator of how long the user will wait.
    C) Mentioned the “Open Getting Started Tour” in the Navigation Via Mouse section.
Justification: Links the program-based Getting Started, which includes navigation practice.

  2. faq.md
    A) Change description: Updated the FAQs to list specific questions and answers, such as:

  • What is OpenSpace?
  • What is OpenSpace’s history?
  • How do I get Started?
  • What if I have other questions that should be in this FAQ?
Justification: The FAQs is one of the first pages the user attempts to find when trying to get up to speed. The updated FAQs attemps to anticipate the user's questions and provide answers.
  1. pull-requests.md
Change description: Included a link that provides more explanation on how to merge all commits into a single new one in a separate branch and use that as the version for the Pull Request. Justification: The original file suggests to merge all commits into a single one in a separate branch if individual commits have been pushed to the server, but doesn’t explain how to do this.
