Oh boi, a release??

Been a while, learned a lot, i will stop writing as if this is a blog post.

NEW FEATURES (compared to v2.0.0, most features exist for like a year now)

  • Backgrounds now get randomized too! Just place a pool of background images in the minegrub/backgrounds folder!
  • Randomization will also happen when you hibernate
  • You can also uses fastfetch now instead of neofetch!!
  • Some NixOS and Flake fixes and improvements that I'm too lazy to list right now

Changes

  • Reorganized the file structure
  • Renamed the theme folder from /boot/grub/themes/minegrub-theme to minegrub (don't forget to change this in your /etc/default/grub)
  • Added support for NixOS module
  • Added support for SysVinit

Added Features

  • You can now set a splash text for the next boot by running sudo /boot/grub/minegrub/update_theme 'Your splash text!' directly

  • You can customize these by editing a simple txt file
