Flipper-IRDB is an awesome project. Its collection of IR codes is so valuable that you may want to use it elsewhere!
I, for instance, am currently writing an open-source Android app that interacts with some older Android devices using the built-in IR blasters.
However, one thing is stopping me from using it, especially if I want to get published on certified open-source platforms like F-Droid. Flipper-IRDB doesn't have a license!
With a license, Flipper-IRDB can be implemented in many projects, including my own SupIR
I think LGPL is the best match for this project, as it will allow the project to be implemented into other applications while maintaining open source freedoms. Other licenses like MIT also are good matches.
