So, apparently this proof of concept hack is all it too to fix it. It runs buttery smooth now and opening the emoji keyboard when I want to react also works properly.
Seems like the whole emoji keyboard loading for every react button was a bit too much.
If you want to take this as is feel free, but I can also clean up a bit later, i feel like i'm adding messy code :p
