SUMMARY

Copied from SOT23-6P95_280X145L60X40 and removed 3 pins. New 3D model from LibrePCB/librepcb-parts-generator#123

Not to be confused with the already existing, very similar "SOT23-3P95_230X110L50X40" package - they differ in body width & lead span.

DATASHEETS / REFERENCES

Not required, SOT23-6 was already drawn according JEDEC specs.

The SOT-23-5 3D-model has a pin1-dot:

It seems to be missing for the two SOT-23-3 packages though. Is that on purpose?

(And, a small detail: SOT23-3P95_230X110L50X40 has 0.15mm silkscreen lines, while 3P95_280X145L60X40 has 0.2mm silkscreen lines.)

Yeah that's on purpose because AFAIK most real SOT-23-3 packages do not have such a dot, while the higher pin count packages have it (though I guess there are exceptions). This was already reflected by the footprints so I kept this behavior for the 3D models for consistency with the documentation layer.

True, this is just for historic reasons 🙈 All SOT23-3..6 are consistent but the other SOT23 package has been created independently...
