Empowering users through a gamified IoT platform, our hackathon project harnesses data to deliver insightful power-saving suggestions, fostering engagement through challenges and rewarding sustainable behaviors.
A Smart IOT Hub with various sensors in built to collect and collate data that will eventually be turned into smart suggestions for user to better save household electricity through rewarding positive power saving habits. For example, when the IOT hub detected no human is present in the room (through Passive Infrared Sensor) and the air-conditioning is switched on (through temperature and humidity sensor), a smart notification will be sent to user for them to switch off the air-conditioning remotely through the app.
Our team's goal is to increase user engagement and achieve measurable reductions in household energy consumption through gamified challenges and rewards.
