I am Fran, a 26-year-old software engineer. My interests include the design of APIs and microservices architectures, and the development of backend, big data and code generation among others.
My coding musts are ☕ and:
- 📚 Studying a computer science PhD at the University of Salamanca.
- 💼 Working as Partner Engineer at Kernel on Telefónica Open Innovación.
- 🌱 Currently deepening my knowledge of API Design and big data architectures.
For several years I have developed various personal projects, some in my free time and others in hackathons, or as free themed class assignments. However, the most remarkable ones are some of the following:
- NovaTrends: Final degree project, consisting in a distributed system based on microservices to extract information from news items, for the posterior visualization. Based on a web application developed with MEVN stack, together with a Python, Celery and Apahce Kafka based ETL (where data extraction and processing is done).
-
Web based torrent client: Web torrent client for the BitTorrent P2P network, which allows you to publish and download files through a torrent network, using magnet links and torrent files.
-
Twico: It consists in a set of subsystems to aggregate information from newsitems, Twitter and OpenData sources, for the creation of a dashboard to serve a summary of the COVID pandemic.
- DeepTrends: Master's thesis, consisting in an event-driven mircoserviced oriented distributed system to extract textual information from multiple sources (such as social media and news items), for performing NLP analysis and visualize the results in real-time. The most important system´s feature is the architectural design. As a result of it, it has been obtained a scalable, maintainable, flexible and extensible system, which can evolve and incorporate new features easily.
