FAQ
Well, yes. But this mod was designed for USB/SD-HOST, as the themes may include audio files and they may get over 10Mb.
If you are like me and have tons of games organized with tons of system folders... Wouldn't be nice if you could have a theme associated with each system? Now you can, just create your own theme and add it to the HMOD or directly to your USB/SD theme folder. On this version all subfolders, will keep the parent theme.
Just give it the same name as your folder (lower snake_case). Eg: game folder: Nintendo - Nintendo Entertainment System
theme folder: nintendo_-_nintendo_entertainment_system
.
Add a theme as before but name it default
in order to make it you home menu theme.
That simple.
The mod is compatible with all Nintendo Classic consoles including all regions.
Exactly that! If you have several themes on your console/usb, why not take advantage of their resources and create your own DIY theme? Simply select from the listed previews and create your own DIY theme.
No, themes aren't compatible across consoles every system has a different file structure, making them incompatible.
So if you're downloading from the website instead of the Download section of the mod you need to pay attention to the file prefix (NES
, SNES
, SHONEN
).
All themes where individually packed and tested by me. And they won't be released if they don't work. If you're getting a C8 error please refer to "Are themes from NES compatible with SNES?".
Theme Selector was tested intensively for a few months, and the normal loading time is ~3seconds. Although there where cases that the loading exceeded 7 seconds.
The only way I can diagnose what is going on is if you send me a module report from Hakchi.
1. Go to your Hakchi CE > Modules > Generate modules report
2. Open a issue
3. Add your comment and attach the module report
This is a known issue with CompCom's Options Menu and the latest Hakchi2 CE. For some reason the init script form the mod isn't loaded.
First of all check if CompCom's Options Menu is installed.
When a module is installed it will be with gray text
If so, proceed to open telnet
And add the following command
/etc/init.d/S8103OptionsMenu restart
press ENTER
Now you should be able to open CompCom's Options Menu
