Please check the file permissions of /opt/peekaboo/etc/peekaboo.conf
There was an error in an old version where user peekaboo had not the permissions to read the file. If you use that old version, please consider to update since there are some neat security and functionality updates that came to live in the past.
Hotfix is chown peekaboo:peekaboo /opt/peekaboo/etc/peekaboo.conf
Please check if the Cuckoo score of that analysis is higher than your configures threshold (standard is 4.0)
- Score > 4.0
- Please check if you use a "normal working" installation/configuration of the Adobe Acrobat Reader
- Score < 4.0
- Please check if the cuckoo signature
Checks amount of memory in system, this can be used to detect virtual machines that have a low amount of memory available
is raised. Pekaboo checks at first if the Cuckoo score is higher than the threshold, if not it checks if some specific evil signatures are raised during the analysis. Those evil sigs can be configured in the ruleset.conf. Comment the mentioned signature and restart your peekaboo daemon
