@n33pm Do you remember the scenario where you actually ran into this issue? Would like to get a test that covers this if possible, and get some of these outstanding PRs merged updated/merged

I think the title 'type' is not the right description for this PR. I only changed the way the ID is obtained. Previously, the hash was generated every time, even though the ID remained the same after the connection was established.
