Several bugs are fixed. These bugs should be removed right now. These bugs are all related with archive system.

  • #1 Now the chatroom will not be reloaded and will be set to be locked after the archive file is loaded (if the user has already finished the conversation)
  • #2 Now Split will not be relocked after the archive is imported
  • Minor fixes. Some hints added to the game to avoid confusion.

[Introduction]
This game imitates an environment that a programmer hacks and gets intelligence from both his employers and colleges in his or other companies. A story is developed as the game processes.
In my opinion this puzzle game is a bit difficult for some people.

[Specs]
This is a puzzle game based on console written in C++.
The game was written and compiled under Windows. For Mac OS users please recompile it using the sources provided below.

[Bugs]
As for save & load, some mails may still be "repliable" after the game reads the archive. However, this will not make the game crash. I'll fix it when I have time.
Many bugs should be related with archive system. For issues and other bugs, please view or submit them on issue pages.

[Trivia]
I am Anoxic, a first year UCSD student.
I write this program basically for fun, all on my own. However, feel free to contact me if you find any bugs or other interesting stuffs about this game.

v0.1.0-beta Released: the First Pre-release Version

[Version]
Pre-release v0.1.0-beta

[Summary]
This is considered to be the first release version of the game.
This game is by and large finished, with some minor bugs to be fixed in future. The detailed bugs will be described below.

This pre-released version of the game is for test and debug use only, so there are still some functions to be finished and the game is still released in debug mode, which means some of the debug functions exist. The details will be described below.

The README file of this project is to be rewritten for future reference.

[Debug mode]
When beginning the game and the user is prompted with the background of the game, type the level to skip to that level immediately. All the plugins that that level is supposed to have will be added and installed automatically. However, all the mails are unread and attachments of them are not transmitted (the user can still try to re-transmit, which will not cause the game to crash).

[Known bugs]

  1. The save and load function is to be implemented, so the tester is NOT supposed to use that function (start a new game only). The author of the game is working on this bug currently, and the for the next version this bug should be fixed.
  2. There can sometimes be display errors, where the menu is not displayed correctly. This is to be considered with C++ language problems itself.
