Windows 11 & 10

3. Parts

There are main three areas in which you can customize these aspects

1. Toggles

You can change some aspects by these toggles; including Windows dark/light mode, transparency, apply accent on elements like taskbar and start menu

2. Titlebars

You can change titlebars colors; including active and inactive colors with a toggle to disable\enable titlebar colorization

3. Accents

You can change different Windows colors, and these colors are illustrated by labels


Windows 8.1

3. Parts

There are main two areas in which you can customize these aspects

1. Colors

  • You can change Windows main color (for taskbar and titlebars), foreground and background colors (for start, UWP apps, …)
  • There is a track bar to control Windows main color intensity

2. Theme

You can change Windows theme, including two visual styles (Aero, Aero Lite), Start background and LogonUI color

It is only for Windows 8 (not 8.1)

  • Windows 8 is not supported but this feature is implemented anyway until this OS is supported

There are main three areas in which you can customize these aspects

1. Main colors

  • You can change Windows main color (colorization color and after glow color)
  • There are two track bars to control these colors intensities

2. Theme

You can change Windows theme (Aero, Aero opaque, Basic and Classic)

3. Aero tweaks

  1. Colorization blur balance: changes blur amount controlling colorization color (in another way, change intensity of transparency/aero glass)
  2. Glass reflection intensity: changes aero glass reflection intensity
  3. Aero peek: controls hover in taskbar corner to show all apps in style of aero glass
  4. Hibernate thumbnails

Windows Vista

You can change Windows main color (colorization color) with a track bar to control this color intensity

Windows XP

There are two main areas in which you can customize Windows XP themes

1. Theme

You can change Windows theme (Luna blue, Luna Green, Luna Silver, external visual styles and Windows classic)

2. External theme

You can load an external theme provided that:

  • External in theme section is selected
  • UX-Theme patch for Windows is done

3. Overriding aspects

Theme/Visual styles has values for classic colors, metrics and fonts inside their files. When they are applied, these internal values are applied too.

  • If Colors in classic colors is not checked, WinPaletter will apply classic colors from the loaded values but not from the loaded Theme/Visual styles, and vice versa.

  • If Metrics values is not checked, WinPaletter will apply metrics from the loaded values but not from the loaded Theme/Visual styles, and vice versa.

  • If System fonts is not checked, WinPaletter will apply fonts from the loaded values but not from the loaded Theme/Visual styles, and vice versa.
