The idea is to provide the ZIO captured metrics to K8s for autoscaling. Perhaps K8s already has an adapter for Prometheus aor statsd like metrics ? If that is the case we might be looking at setting up an example and write the documentation around it.

A quick search revealed that there seems to be some k8s support for prometheus metrics:
