home feed gets blank #180

Repro steps:

open/load the home feed
tap an unread feed item
move back to feed. It still shows the feed
tap another unread feed item.
move back to feed. it shows blank.

trim.6D500A69-CD67-4197-8F02-ABC98DD9ACDF.MOV

expected:
the feed still shows items.

actual:
the feed doesn't show items.

This is no longer reproducible and I suspect this was resolved by #220 (unmount caused the issue to rerender the list).

Closing this now but can reopen if we still see the issue somewhere.
