Hello,
You're receiving this email because you have RSVPd "yes" for the scikit-learn sprint on Saturday, March 4.
Please read all the notes below in preparation for this event:
I'm offering a workshop on Thursday, February 23rd through PyLadies. If you have time and would like more experience with Git prior to the sprint, sign up for this workshop: https://www.meetup.com/NYC-PyLadies/events/237446660/
I'm looking for 2-3 volunteers to write a blog on the scikit-learn sprint. It would be published on our website here: http://wimlds.org/blog/ Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested.
If you know someone in media who would be able to bring some attention to women in tech or open source development, please email me at [email protected]
I've created a GitHub repo:
https://github.com/WiMLDS/scikit-sprint
Please bookmark it and/or star it for easy reference.
Gitter is an instant messaging and chat room system for developers and users of GitHub repositories. You can use your GitHub ID to sign in. This is the link to the scikit Gitter: https://gitter.im/scikit-learn/scikit-learn Andreas will create a separate channel just for this sprint.

There are over 750 open issues. For the sprint, we'll be focusing on those which are labeled "easy" and "Need Contributor". Take some time (15-20 minutes) to look over some of these issues prior to the event: https://github.com/scikit-learn/scikit-learn/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+label%3AEasy
Bring your business cards. We have some t-shirts from the upcoming MLConf that we'll be raffling. (18% Early Bird Registration Here Ends Feb 28)
If you are unable to make it to the event, please update your RSVP. We have quite a long waitlist for the event.
I will also place a copy of this email within the GitHub repo for easy reference. Thanks, and looking forward to the event.
Cheers,
Reshama
