After using the fonts on the built-in display became worse

I used better display in order to improve the quality of fonts on the connected monitor, but after a while I noticed that I started having some problems with fonts on my built-in macbook air 13.3 monitor. I completely deleted the program, but apparently some system settings were not deleted.

It is rather difficult to pinpoint the issue without understanding the nature of the "problems". BetterDisplay does not alter how fonts are displayed.

Maybe you are not using the right resolution for your display?

I used the option Edit and manage the system configuration of this display and Allowsmooth resolution scale. Could that be the reason? I reset the settings of the monitor built into the macbook.

Hi @DenisSermyagin - this feature adds more resolution options to the display for which it is enabled (does not change how fonts are rendered - there are some other apps that change font smoothing intensity but BetterDisplay does not do that). You can disable the configuration changes if you uncheck the setting in BetterDisplay for the display. If you already deleted BetterDisplay, you can simply navigate to your computer's /Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides folder via Finder and remove all folders and files there and reboot.

However I am not sure what is the problem exactly - what are the symptoms?

I'm trying to delete files in this directory /System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides on behalf of the root user. However, the system swears at the rights. When trying to do this through finder, I encounter the same error.
