DDC input source codes #3793
-
I have a Viewsonic VX3480-2K-Pro monitor connected to a Mac Mini standard M4. The monitor has 1 display port and 2 hdmi inputs. Connected between thunderbolt display port from display port. Number 15 appears to be connected with DDC. My Windows Machine is connected via Hdmi 1. I want to switch to the DDC input source section via Betterdisplay, but for some reason I cannot switch. I have configured the input sources in the attachment. When I select the input sources, a black screen comes out, it seems to pass, it returns to the mac os display port again. I could not figure out what the LG bottom part is for, when I activate it, it does not perform any operation between the sources anyway. How can I solve this problem. I am a user of Betterdisplay pro. But I could not solve it. Frankly, all I want to do is to switch between my monitors with DDC input source through better display, if it works, then I don't know if a shortcut can be assigned to the keyboard, but it would be very nice. I would not deal with the OSD screen of the monitor. By the way, it works in other things like brightness etc. but for me to switch between inputs. How can I solve this problem. |

Yes, you can use keyboard shortcuts. The codes vary by monitor. You can try looking at the DDC Features... auto detection report, the display may report the codes it accepts under inputSelect. If they don't work then the feature might not be implemented by the display's firmware. |

I actually noticed this. I connected another monitor to the Mac mini. It showed the Lenovo L24 model as 1 VGA and hdmi 17 under the betterdisplay report. Obviously the DDC input source worked fine with the Lenovo L24. I can make the transitions, but the Viewsonic VX3480-2K-Pro somehow doesn't seem to work. When I say not working, I mean Display port: 15 Hdmi 1 :17 Hdmi 2 in the report: 18. When I select the DDC input source, a black screen appears like a black screen and returns back to the display port. I think it may not be catching the codes correctly although it shows the codes? Lenovoda caught the numbers correctly and we can make changes without problems. Does it mean that the Viewsonic VX3480-2K-Pro monitor's codes are correct in the report or is there a different way to find and clarify this? |
