Description of task

We want to visualize the forces to individual thrusters in addition to useful diagnostics and sensor data in a Foxglove interface.

Suggested Workflow

  • Have a look at the thruster visualization for the ASV
  • Create a more generalized broadcaster that is configured via a launch file
  • Create the interface in Foxglove and export the JSON setup file

Specifications

  • visualization of thruster output on AUV model
  • Camera visualization
  • Show position and velocities in all DOFs
  • Show battery status

  • Every function in header files are documented (inputs/returns/exceptions)
  • The project has automated tests that cover MOST of the functions and branches in functions (pytest/gtest)
  • The code is documented on the wiki (provide link)
