I am in an early stage of a project that will someday need a custom board to run on.
I have never worked with RISC-V before and am wondering about the possibilities.
Would it be possible for a capable electrical engineer to build a custom board for me around an FPGA configured for RISC-V and Vortex, so that Ubuntu runs on that board and so that an executable, linked against the ArrayFire-library, can, while running under Ubuntu on that board, take advantage of the Vortex via OpenCL?
ArrayFire seems to require OpenCL 1.2 at minimum, but it is not at all clear to me how to build all of the stuff so that that will all work.
I am thinking about proposing a few different options to my engineering team and am wondering whether this idea might be worth proposing, too.
