Two types of tests would be relevant & helpful:

  1. "Sanity checks" of the hierarchical likelihood function. We did a bunch of these when you first wrote the code, I recall. If you can find that code (or the examples we decided on), add that in.
  2. Minimal end-to-end test. Basically just put the readme quick start code into a test file and check that it runs all the way through.

Make sure the tests run with py.test!
