There are a quite a few members who are new to programming and / or are currently trying to get their first paid programming position.

I thought it might be cool to have a few us share stories about how we became programmers or how we landed our first jobs as paid programmers. It might be helpful information for some, and I'd personally love to hear a lot of different programmer origin stories!
