Storing password is very insecure

The username and password are stored in plain text.
This allows everyone with access to the computer to see and use the password.

I think this is pretty dangerous!

think so to; but if telenet requires plain format password I don't think you can do much about it (except for an encryption key, but then it's just a matter of decrypting with that known key
