This issue tracks the writing of a HackMD covering the current state of Waku v2 privacy/anonymity with a focus on Waku v2 relay.
It is part of #107

The purpose of this write-up is

• providing answers to frequently asked questions
• being a first stage in preparing a series of research log articles on Waku v2 privacy / anonymity
  • the first article in this series is tracked by research log: waku-relay anonymity analysis #104

Added attacker types and attacks. Also some info on Tor anonymity guarantees as well as some additions here and there.

Added some info on Briar and a comparison of Briar with Waku.
Briar is a Tor based messenger and, unlike Tor, can be more diretly compared to Waku.
