in Version 128.0.6613.84 x64 (installed or portable) I cannot change the Omnibox Autocompletion aka "Improve search suggestions" under Settings > You and Google > Sync and Google services ( chrome://settings/syncSetup )

The toggle moves, but re-opening the settings or even just reloading the page reverts the toggle to its old state and Omnibox behaviour doesn't change .

Turning autocomplete on In previous versions up to and including 127.0.6533.119 is fine and loading the same profile in chromium 128 also works and shows the changed value.

A friend could not reproduce this in a Linux install of 128.0.6613.84, but under windows I had this on two machines (Win 10 and 11)

Thanks

It's not just this particular setting, it's multiple, if not all slider bar options.

ie. Always use secure connections
Ask where to save each file before downloading
The start-up options

they do not stick

Version 128.0.6613.85

It might be fixed soon: ungoogled-software/ungoogled-chromium#3017
