With the "disable encryption" flag enabled, I am signed out of all websites every single time the browser restarts (including the first time I enable the flag). Seems like this completely disables all storage, not just encryption. Which wiped all my existing data too.

"Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows" is disabled.

Looks like this only affects cookies, not localStorage. Certain sites like Discord and Disney+ seem to retain their logins even when everything else gets signed out. IIRC, this is also consistent with the behavior of Chrome refusing to load a "corrupted" / "tampered" profile (though it doesn't create the popup in settings).

Preferences, extension data, etc doesn't get deleted, only site cookies.
