"The Starter Kit" is the current HQ-supported package that is installed by default if you're not customising your install. So one assumes it works in the latest version! Much like many packages the version info is out of date:

I don't know who maintains this project now, but could it become the responsibility of the Packages Team? The team would then be responsible for testing it with new releases, updating its info online etc?

There is also an open PR - umbraco/The-Starter-Kit#65, Would be good to see that accepted and a new version released.

This is not me proposing the team build a new starter kit. This is about taking over the management of current package. However perhaps this would make the implementation of a new kit easier to achieve, at a future point?

Could we look at this one again @jmayntzhusen?

It is appearing in the number one spot on the packages page, so it is a real shame that on first glance it looks to not support later than v8.0!

I know that the starter kit is owned by Shannon, but could you @jmayntzhusen be added as a collaborator so its version support is kept up to date at least? (I appreciate making changes to the starter kit itself is out of scope BTW)

Hiya @LottePitcher,

Just wanted to let you know that we noticed that this issue got a bit stale and might not be relevant any more.

We will close this issue for now but we're happy to open it up again if you think it's still relevant (for example: it's a feature request that's not yet implemented, or it's a bug that's not yet been fixed).

To open it this issue up again, you can write @umbrabot still relevant in a new comment as the first line. It would be super helpful for us if on the next line you could let us know why you think it's still relevant.

For example:

@umbrabot still relevant
This bug can still be reproduced in version x.y.z

This will reopen the issue in the next few hours.

Thanks, from your friendly Umbraco GitHub bot 🤖 🙂
