The Pledge enrollment page at:
https://identity.lbl.gov/PledgeEnrollment/profileNumber.jsp?msg=something_here&username=something_here

contains the following text:

A Pledge profile has been created for (name of user here)
Enter this Profile ID in the Pledge Client: (some profile ID here)

Click here to test your new profile.

Naturally, I clicked on the 'test your new profile' link right away, and entered my Username and Profile ID (not my OTP), selecting HPCS as the realm.

The page then returned a Failure: The One-Time Password is incorrect error page.

The following is wildly verbose, but it might be helpful to instead somehow present information similar to the following (I'm utterly agnostic as to how this might best be done):

AFTER entering your Profile ID in the Pledge Client, creating a PIN there, generating your first one-time password (OTP), copying it to the Clipboard, click here to test your new profile

At least, that's what appears to be the case :-).

The recommended substitute instructions above are present in this refactoring of the Savio cluster on-boarding instructions in the wiki:
https://github.com/ucberkeley/brc-draft-documentation/wiki/Logging-into-Savio/60cf116ce00c0d1a771ead87f72265c1f67e7fc5

This issue, however, is a suggestion that such instructions be provided, or linked to, from the Pledge Enrollment page itself.

Issues #5, #6, and #22 also discuss, or allude to, potential changes to the Pledge Enrollment page.
