It's my understanding that when a newly onboarded Savio user is submitting the BRC User Access Agreement form within the MyBRC portal, they need to take a very brief quiz before their new Savio account can be processed and enabled. Is this correct? (This was the case when an account was created for me on Savio a few years ago). I'd like to propose that the quiz be expanded / lengthened in such a way that users need to dig a little deeper into the Savio documentation in order to be able to correctly answer the quiz questions before they start using Savio for the first time. My sense is that we still get a significant number of Savio tickets via ServiceNow from some users seeming to show that they are not very familiar with or taking much time to read the docs before they start sending tickets to us, which may be leading to a "higher than normal" ticket volume overall. It may be in everyone's interest that we have or use some leverage on the users to "force" them to become more familiar with and dig deeper into the Savio docs before they start using the system, and a longer more in depth quiz may be a reasonable way of doing that. This might require further discussion in a RIT/BRC dev meeting at some point. In the interim, here are some examples, references, and resources regarding mandatory quizzes and mandatory training/onboarding being carried out for HPC clusters at other universities or institutes:
