Consider using a better secured DNS connection rather using Google's 8.8.8.8 as default for a back up DNS server.
Cloudflare offers 1.1.1.1 as a primary and 1.0.0.1 as a backup

Being a privacy focused app, it should be considered to avoid using the DNS servers from google.

I suggest using Q9 as a backup for more secured connection like Cloudflare.
Quad9: servers: 9.9.9.9 and back up 149.112.112.112

This was definitely something we considered early on. The reason we ended up with 1.1.1.1 as main and 8.8.8.8 as backup was because we were afraid of uptime and reliability. Most users won't ever change their DNS settings and we weren't sure about Quads 9's uptime and reliability.

But this is 100% something we can look into again, let's have a discussion on this during the next live stream
