@oifj34f34f could you please add examples of extensions that works for your browser with disabled javascript.
I will investigate the problem

I have Violentmonkey (all userscripts including https://github.com/qsniyg/maxurl work), uBlock Origin and LibRedirect

Is this how it's supposed to be? We can close this issue if Linguist depends on browser history.

No, we should not close issue. It is good you detect this bug. Probably some WebExtension API are limited when you change this option in browser. It is possible that Linguist even don't use actively this API, so we can just remove module that throw error and problem will be fixed
