Looks like this is only possible using OSX 10.8 notification center. This UI is maybe not a good fit as it could be hard for the user to associate the notification with the event of opening a certain page. |
OSX 10.8 is quite prevalent these days and the UI doesn't seem to be that off, although still not that great fit. @xMartin do you think it's still worth trying? I'd be honored to do it. |
@mrshu Could you write a little proposal with a few concept sentences like what would be the benefit, how it would look and feel and what possible issues are? |
@xMartin Well, the benefit would be that you'd get a warning when loading a badly rated site as you've already said yourself =). I also certainly think that there should be an option to disable a feature like this. The look and feel is described in here, there is not much more we can do about it. However we could make sure to get the wording right (like you are loading a service that has a bad bad rating). On the issues side, I personally do not see any other than the struggle with implementing it which is always there =) |
@mrshu Ok, give it a try. |
Chrome extension has nice notifications when loading a badly rated site.
