Is this effected by keyboard ghosting? Like can I just use my regular keyboard on my laptop or do I need to get a special keyboard?

Having a keyboard without ghosting is going to be helpful. You should be able to still do some key combinations, but the worse your keyboard ghosting is, the harder this will be to use.
