Weeks 3 & 4
Created Unity project for everyone to work off of. Broke work down into modules that let us merge everything with relatively little problem:
- Animation and Movement - William & Liam
- Time Travel Mechanic - Timo
- Sprites and Game Objects - Eric and Dhruv
- Welcome and Exit screens - Harman
- NPCs and Dialogue - Jainal
Goal is to get this done by the next meeting so it can all be integrated and we can begin working on the prototype.
Everyone completed their tasks, so we met and began putting everything together. Because everyone worked on different parts of Unity, we were able to put together
Created prefabs to allow easier level creation. Continued integrating everyones work together, and begun mapping out what we were going to deliver in the prototype. Found the need for:
- More animations. (For adult Wilbur)
- Bug fixing time travel.
- "End goal" for each level. (Plan is to use a signpost, both adult and young Wilbur must reach it in order to complete level)
- Let a player reset the level.
These should all be completed and ready to add the the project by tomorrow.
Spent the day finalizing prototype. This involved adding all the features we previously missed, creating extra levels, and attaching the scenes together.
Got two teams (Team 2 and 11) to play test the prototype. Completed documentation, reflection, contributions.
