Please check before submitting an issue

  • I have searched the issues and haven't found anything relevant
  • I will upload bugreport file in KernelSU Manager - Settings - Report log
  • I know how to reproduce the issue which may not be specific to my device

Describe the bug

Switching on SuperUser with default mode doesn't work for some root-requiring apps (e.g. ES File Explorer of ancient version, Swift Backup), while it works for some (Ice Box, Airfrozen).
Found #328 , am wondering if there's a new solution to this, or switching backup app is the only way to go.

ES File Explorer remains unsolved

Which version of ES File Manager are you using? It seems that older versions of ES are 32-bit apps which are not officially supported by KernelSU.
Please try using MT Manager.
You can also try this fork version of KernelSU: https://github.com/hamjin/KernelSU/actions/runs/11502803256
This version of kernelsu supports granting root to 32-bit apps.
