As a volunteer, I made this proposal on Evmos Commonwealth:
https://commonwealth.im/evmos/discussion/7744-rewarding-past-goethereum-development-efforts

In order to place it on-chain, I need to set up a multisig. Ideally, it should contain accounts controlled by the go-ethereum team on the Evmos chain (https://safe.evmos.org/evmos). The alternative is: create a multisig with Evmos Community members that will forward the funds to the go-ethereum team with a public acknowledgment, if the proposal passes.

This proposal is independent of any changes the go-ethereum team may or may not make to go-ethereum (including ethereum/go-ethereum#26119). The proposal was written on Sep 23rd, as part of an attempt to reward core contributions to Evmos. But, as the go-ethereum team has not yet presented an alternate way of contact, I am writing this here.

You are welcome to comment/edit on Commonwealth (link above), the contents of the multisig and the text of the proposal.
Once it goes on-chain, the result will be the decision of the Evmos Community.

This proposal is planned to go on-chain on November 26nd 2022. Deadline for edits: Nov 25th, 21:59 UTC.

This proposal has been presented to the Evmos Governance Council: https://youtu.be/1hug91Nuttw?t=2498 and is now in the discussion stage.

The deadline was passed and I see no official response from the go-ethereum team.
I will rest this proposal until somebody else takes the leadership to resume it. Under the present circumstances, the $Evmos coin is not strong enough to cover our debt to the go-ethereum team. So, I am waiting for it to recover, so that the Evmos Community is happy to make a proper gift.

Also, I do acknowledge the need for the Evmos chain to prove its independence and good intent, as a possible prerequisite for the go-ethereum team to officially accept this gift. So, I am also waiting for the Evmos chain's response on https://commonwealth.im/evmos/discussion/7846-a-vision-for-evmos-proven-independency.
