I have uploaded version 23.3 2022-02-04 of the
xepersian
package to CTAN.New Features
The following two features are implemented in this version:
Ligatures=PersianTeXNoNumbers
for Persian font selection control sequences is provided; this is basically the same asLigatures=PersianTeX
except that Latin numbers (including TeX counts) are not converted to the corresponding Persian ones;\SwitchToDefaultMathDigits
and\SwitchToPersianMathDigits
are provided for switching between Latin and Persian math digits mid math mode. Here is an example showing how these control sequences can be used:Note that you can use TeX grouping to restrict the effect of the two control sequences to the current group they are in. For instance, the following example has the same effect as the one above.
Fixed Issues
The issue Graphite-rendered font (Awami) not loaded correctly is fixed. The
xepersian
package no longer addsScript=Persian
; this is not necessary with the current XeTeX and if it is needed, the user can add it manually.Control sequence name change
The
xepersian
package had some control sequences withmaths
(Australian / British spelling) as part of their names and some other control sequences withmath
(American Spelling) as part of their names. This was not consistent and hence, all occurrences ofmaths
is replaced bymath
. This has the consequence that, for instance, the control sequence\DefaultMathsDigits
no longer exists and you will need to use\DefaultMathDigits
control sequence instead.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
