Microsoft Teams: audio/video calls don't work

I think it's trying to open a new browser window or invoke an external app because instead of opening a video call it just flashes and stays on the same page when you click join.

Unfortunately, Thunderbird's built-in browser doesn't support opening new tabs for in-page content links, and my attempts at JS hacks didn't work either. If you have experience with JS and would like to contribute about this, I'd be happy to pull requests.
