Last week I recorded this How-to Komiser video. Talking about how to optimize EC2 instances using Komiser.
A lot of what is talked about can be applied to other VMs from other cloud providers, so check it out even if you are not at an AWS shop at the moment.

When it comes to EC2 savings, do you find you usually have a significant amount of leverage to optimize the instances at your organization or are your hands usually pretty tied? Be it by IAM permission issues or because the instances aren't provisioned manually (Cluster autoscalers or ASGs) yet they still scale in an unoptimized way? 🧾
Have you found it particularly difficult to optimize the underlying instances of a Kubernetes cluster? Do you have any tips on how to optimize workload usage in K8s?
