Change primary detail only for the chosen address type

I was wondering if it would be useful when there would be another option like "Change primary detail only for the chosen address type".

My configuration:
standard address type = billing
"Change Primary Detail?" = no

I have a test contact with only one existing address from type billing and without checking "Change primary detail" it does not update the existing address because it is automatically primary since there is no other address. I just do not want other address overwritten that might be existing already. But for the chosen address type it would be good.
I imagine that this does not happen quite often but I leave it here as an idea :)
