2.5 branch introduces significant changes to:

Progress tracking
Download for offline button

Tasks to be performed before the 2.5.0 release:

Add basic test coverage #157
All automated tests passed
All manual checks without progress enabled pass
Upgrade path from the legacy Download for offline button
