PHP 5.6.32 / SS3.6.2 / 4.0.x-dev:

There is no documentation as to what a transition's "Passive" mode does. I had assumed, given an action with one outgoing transition which was set as "Passive", that the system would transition automatically, and not require user-input within the CMS. This is not the case, so either there's a bug, or I don't get what this feature is designed for, so some docs would be great.

While the issue that brought me to thinking about "Passive" mode is now moot, it should still be documented. I don't recall ever having dealt with it back in the day.
